Rathbone Street

BDC has been appointed by ISE to provide Temporary Works design services and assess the site constraints, construction methodology, and proposed works for the Rathbone Street renovation project.

The renovation involves creating a new opening at the ground floor, which presented a significant challenge due to the need to transfer the load of the existing structure to the basement levels while ensuring minimal disruption to the building’s operations. To address this, heavy props were utilised to safely redistribute the loads during the construction process. These props were strategically placed to support the structure and allow for the installation of the new façade without compromising the integrity of the existing structure.
