Sea Scouts

The Sea Scouts building is a single-storey structure constructed as part of a larger residential development in Faversham.

BDC was appointed as the Structural Engineering consultant for the detailed design of the scheme. We developed a load-bearing masonry design that incorporated large openings and a distinctive roof profile.

Given that the building was constructed on deep fill, a mini-pile foundation solution was designed. A key consideration in the foundation design was the inclusion of retaining walls around the perimeter and the access ramp.
